Why we created
POWERHOUSE PARENTS

Two women hugging and sitting on the floor, one in a black beanie and black clothes, the other in pink sportswear, embracing and sharing an intimate moment.

Before having Rio, we didn’t expect our priorities to shift so drastically.

It wasn’t that we didn’t want to work out — we did.
But being with him mattered more.
Sleep was scarce.
Childcare felt complicated.
Skipping workouts was just easier.

But we learned quickly that when we don’t prioritize at least 3 hours of movement per week, our entire household feels it.

Patience runs thin.
Intimacy fades.
Parenting feels harder than it needs to be.

When we support each other, stay accountable, and commit to movement together, the energy in our home is completely different — calmer, more connected, more grounded.

Our kids deserve parents who understand the importance of movement and self-prioritization. They’re learning by watching us. If not for you, do it for them.

Powerhouse Parents was created for parents of littles who are still figuring it out — working full-time, choosing family time, and trying to do their best without burning out.

Unrealistic expectations like working out 5–6 days a week or crash dieting don’t build anything that lasts. A realistic, sustainable commitment does.

This program is about building strength, confidence, and consistency — for your body, your marriage, and your family — in a way that actually fits your life.

WHAT ONE COUPLE IS SAYING ABOUT POWERHOUSE PARENTS

FAQs

Are the workouts the same for both of us?

1

Short answer, YES.

Longer answer, women will be coached by Laura and men will be coached by Alan. There might be some slight variations for each of you, but overall the workouts will be very similar focusing on strength, muscle development, and athleticism.

Do we have to do the workouts together?

2

No, but if you can prioritize at least one workout per week together, we recommend it and treat it like a day date! We rarely get to workout together anymore with the nature of our schedule and lifestyle, but being on similar plans and keeping each other encouraged and accountable keeps us connected to each other’s goals and desires.

Do we get to keep the program?

3

This program is a live-coached, 31-day program that is done in real time. You will give us your preferred schedule and your workouts will be scheduled accordingly. Once the 31 days are over, we will send you a PDF with the workouts so you can keep them for future reference, but you will also have the opportunity to continue working with us and move forward with your programming inside the app and community.

How much time commitment is required?

4

This program is designed to be completed in just 3 hours per week. We understand that life is busy, kids are priority, chores have to get done, and the majority of us are working full-time jobs. So we wanted to create something that was completely attainable for the busiest of parents. 3 hours per week, committed to you and your health. Anyone can find the time for that.

Do we have to have a gym membership?

5

While it is highly recommended to have a gym to escape to, we understand that isn’t desirable or obtainable for everyone, so we’ve created this program to be done at a gym or at home. If you plan to do this from home, you will need to have a basic home gym set up with a good range of weights to work with. Resistance training (weight training) is the best way to increase strength, develop muscle, and see results so prioritizing your set up is a must.

Is macro-coaching included in this program?

6

We will not be offering customized coaching for each individual during this round of Powerhouse Parents, but you will be getting tons of valuable information regarding your food and how to fuel for a great workout. If you want more specific coaching on your macros and exactly what to eat for a specific goal, February is when that will become available.

start the new year off right, together.
